blog picIn 2005 I had a horrific RTA which resulted in my left leg being severely damaged, and myself eventually being registered disabled. So being unable to ride a bike I bought a trike from Rhino Trikes in Chard, Somerset. It was quite a decent trike for the price, and I rode that for a year or so. But the need to get back on 2 wheels proved to mouch to resist for long. 2 years ago whilst riding Scarlett Phoenix, I tried riding a bike. I bought a Yamaha Virago XV1100, because of it's custom riding position and low centre of gravity. But after a few months of trying to come to grips with it I decided it wasn't safe especially as Annabel always pilliond with me. So I reluctantly sold it on. I considered trying a smaller bike, but my issues weren't with weight, more the inability to hold the bike on my left leg in an emergency. The idea got canned. I stuck to a trike, though more and more I was becoming disillusioned with the feel and feedback I got from riding on 3 wheels. So 5 years down the line, earlier this year - 2010, I bought a Honda Magna V65 V4 monster from a guy in Poole Dorset.

As I menitoned earlier, I'm registered disabled due to some trainee clown of a bus driver side swiping me off my Vmax 1200 on my way to work over 4 years ago. He used his car to push me off my Vmax, headlong across a round-a-bout - severely stuffing up my left leg, knee and ankle which still haven't healed properly.

Anyhow, I did some work on the Suzuki trike when I hit on the idea of creating an online record of what I was doing. This began as a website page hosted by Piczo. Wasn't too bad for a free website really but eventually the intermittent image upload problems got to me and I decided to resite the build pages, and also to set them up as a Blog. At first I used another free webspace company, Webs.com, but even this didn't seem to offer the flexibility to create the site as I wanted it to look and function. Hence I opted for a domain name of my own - "Dockildare.com" and these pages were brought to life!

So to these Blog pages. At the moment there are 5 soon to be 6, which cover a variety of my interests. I decided I wanted a General Site Blog and the Suzuki VS800 Intruder build pages! I've since discontinued the Suzuki blogs because I am selling it to a m8 of mine. So the 2nd Blog will be the revamp of the "The Beast", my Honda Magna V65 1100cc monster of a bike, which I'm only doing refabricating/revamping of items that don't keep him off the road. I've yet to implement this blog, but it's on my todo list....

The 3rd blog is one for my vinyl collection. I changed back to listening to vinyl via a valve amp a year or so back, because I prefered the sound more than the bland digital one you get with CD's and MP3's or other digital media. I just don't think they recapture the true sound of music. I mean after all sound is vibrations distributed through the air to you ears, what better way to reproduce it than using a device that traces these vibrations on a platter that was created by capturing those vibrations physically, rather than electronically?!?

Fourth blog is a general news blog, the 5th one is a blog about my model making/collecting hobby (I build/construct/collect models of female warrior types figures - mainly of the scantily clad genre). Lastly is a blog about my comic collecting. I collect US type comics, mainly from the Silver and Golden Ages

Right, just under here you will see a player, loaded with songs from my favourite local band. It is none other than Isolysis - you really need to bash your tabs with this music, because you'll never forgive yourself if you dont!!
